The beginning of the Acapulco chair

Whilst travelling through Mexico we stumbled on the charming Mexican furniture. We fell in love with the woven chairs and we had to share them with the rest of Europe. Combining it with our own design identity we redesigned the traditional Mexican chair and named it Acapulco. This was the big start of our entrepreneurial endeavour. In 2007 we launched the first Acapulco chair.

Business growth with Acapulco

Our sales grew rapidly. Europe was charmed by our unique chair. We created the whole string series inspired by traditional Mexican furniture. The recognizable three-legged chair was the base of our design identity.

By adding more products to the string series and variants of the original Acapulco chair we created our unique and signature color palette. Our furniture was wildly popular, therefore we created the design rights and the trademark in 2008.

Inspiration for Acapulco Chairs

Our inspiration for our products comes from all around the world but it is always combined with the deeply rooted and inspirational Danish design. Therefore we say that we design in the style of Danish design but with a Global narrative. We create products that have stories, roots, and deep meanings. Our Acapulco Chair is only one of those.

Condesa Chair – White Frame

The Condesa Chair in white frame is made with a white powder coated frame and comes in all 13 variations of PVC cord colors to choose from. The chair is round shaped with an upright sitting position and the cord is flexible, which allows excellent sitting comfort when in use and then returns to its original position. It can be combined with the Acapulco and Condesa cushion for extra sitting comfort. The chair comes with protective felt pads for interior use and rubber glides for exterior use. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

The Original Acapulco Chair® in stainless steel frame is a very durable variant of the Original Acapulco Chair. The high-quality stainless steel frame cannot rust and is highly resistant to outdoor use. Choose between the available cord colors and we will prepare your own custom-made chair.

The Original Acapulco Chair® is made with excellent UV filtered, PVC cord, free of phthalates and heavy metals. The cord is flexible and allows excellent sitting comfort. The sitting position is laid back and loungy and the oval shape allows support in the neck. It can be combined with the Acapulco and Condesa Cushion for extra sitting comfort. The chair comes with protective felt pads for interior use and rubber glides for exterior use.

The Original Acapulco Chair® is named after the legendary Pacific resort Acapulco in Mexico. In the ’50s Acapulco was a refuge of Pacific tranquillity, where cocktails were served to Hollywood’s greatest stars on sunny terraces overlooking the Acapulco Bay. Elvis Presley, Elisabeth Taylor, and John Wayne were some of many who fell in love with Acapulco at the time.
